Vikings to sign Walker

The Minnesota Vikings have signed veteran wide receiver Javon Walker to a one-year contract. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Walker tried out with the Vikings, who apparently liked what they saw despite his long absence from the game.

The wide receiver had some big years in Green Bay but was never the same after tearing ligaments in his knee.

He has attempted several comebacks since his time with the Packers but none have worked out well. (Read More…)

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre had supposedly walked away from the game, but it was his shortest retirement to date.

Sources surrounding Favre continue to indicate that he will play this season if his ankle will allow it.

Others believe Favre is blowing the ankle injury out of proportion to avoid training camp, something he is not fond of at this age.

Favre has said many times in the past that he would never quit playing if he could just show up on gameday. (Read More…)
